My Favorite Breakfast Recipe

Sometimes my group dinners are hit or miss, but everyone in my life would agree that I can make a mean breakfast. This simple dish is my all time favorite crowd-pleasing breakfast. It is inspired by my go-to brunch order at Tupelo Junction in Santa Barbara. If I have access to it (Whole Foods! or more widely in San Francisco / throughout California) I use Cypress Grove's Purple Haze, which is goat cheese made with wild fennel pollen and lavender (yum). I also used Organic Girl's Sweet Pea Leaves because they contain protein(!).

Scrambled Eggs with Goat Cheese & Smoked Salmon

prep time: 5 minscook time: 10 minstotal time: 15 mins

a simple, yet elegant take on scrambled eggs


  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cage-free eggs 
  • 2 oz smoked salmon
  • 1 oz goat cheese
  • 3/4 cup greens (I use sweet pea leaves)
  • 3/8 avocado


  1. drizzle evoo in a skillet
  2. scramble 2 eggs. Stir constantly to maintain a fluffy consistency
  3. once eggs have reached desired consistency stir in smoked salmon
  4. remove eggs from heat and plate. top with crumbled goat cheese
  5. plate with lightly dressed sweet pea leaves and avocado 
  6. devour
